(WARNING...long freaking post) I just have to show you the 3 items I've made as a member of the Elements Team over at Digital Candy. These were the first 3 kits that I designed for the 12x12 scrapper and I'm mighty proud of them:)
And the best part is that you can get them for free simply by completing one of their fun challenges...how cool is that! They haven't finalized the prizes to challenge list just yet but I'll be getting that info and will let you know which kit is going with what challenge in the near future. But for now, I just want to show off my stuff...lol
Here's my tribute to our Canadian friends...I just love this kit:
Here's my minikit called Green Grass of Summer...such soft pretty colors:
And here's my favorite of all of the 3 we've done so far...my tribute to the USA:
Aren't they all just luscious...lol! I'm very proud of them and I want you to get your scrappinbutts over to DC and check out their challenges. The other girls on the Elements Team have made some gorgeous kits also (all in the same 3 schemes) and I just know you'll want to get every single one of them.
And ya' looking for a freebie candy grab bag? Get over to DC and sign up for their first ever newsletter called "The Candy Dish" and get a great grab bag free when the issue comes out. Go

Well, I'm done bragging now and on to other news. Thanks for letting me share these previews with you and I'm working on a blog freebie for you all right now:)
I'm going to be gone for the next week to my nieces wedding in Indiana. My older sis (Deb) and I are leaving here at noon on Tuesday and driving to our younger sisters (Monica) house in Elkart Lake, WI. Then early, early Wednesday a.m. we'll be leaving for Indianapolis, hoping to miss the gridlocks in Chicago and Indy. I wanted to get up at 5 and be on the road by 6 but all I heard was screaming on both ends of the phone line...roflmao! Couple of sissy's if you ask me so I guess we'll be leaving at 7 and won't get to our destination til 2 or 3! And I wanted to be there by noon 'cause we got a lot of shopping to do on Wednesday. Gotta' go buy all the food for the reception! My sis Deb and I offered to cater the event and we are also making the wedding cake. It's in my freezer now as I baked the last layer yesterday!
Today we're making a very specialized wedding cake topper...2 Indy Colts horseshoes intertwined with the 7 nail holes on one side and their names on the other side. Let me tell ya' that you'll be getting pictures of this puppy...I have a beautiful vision in my mind and Deb and I are going to execute it flawlessly even if we come to blows over it...lol
And what is Monica going to be doing, you ask? Can you say S L A V E...lol! She'll be our gofer til Friday the 13th...the official wedding day! Then she's going to gather all her lists and the lists that she's made lists from and become the official Wedding Coordinator, although she prefers the term Wedding Helper Extraordinaire...lol She's so modest:) She's the one that's going to keep everything flowing smoothly, moving forward and making sure there is nothing missed in all the pomp and ceremony...all the while looking and acting flawlessly. This girl could make you want to run right out and buy a gunny sack that's been through a fire once she puts it on and adjusts and accessorizes it! Just beautiful and oh, so diplomatic.
When I called her yesterday and asked her if she'd take on that responsibility I laughed til I almost peed. This is me: Hey you shitbums...put your damned beers down and get your f'ing asses over to the cake table...it's time to cut the damned cake! This is Monica: in a soft yet firm voice...Ivory and Randy, in about 3 minutes we'll be starting the cake cutting ceremony so if you wouldn't mind, I'll meet you at the cake table then...insert very sweet smile and nodding of head! ROFLMAOPIMP! See why we need her so badly...lol
The main reasons we took this all on is so our youngest sister Kim, can just be the mother of the bride for the day. Kim is one go-getter, never stopping for a minute, always on top of everything and doesn't know the meaning of the word 'relax'. And she simply can't stop working. I told her if I even see her lift a bowl or platter she's in for one serious ass whoopin' from her 3 older sisters! We want this to be her day too, with no worries about one single thing except seeing her first born being married and enjoying the experiences of the day. And by us catering the event, we're helping her and Ivory and Randy save thousands of dollars too! Both Deb and I have been in the restaurant business forever and can literally cook for 200 in 1 day so we can pound this out in no time. And I'm pretty much fearless until I get in a kitchen with Deb. We're both half French_Canadian and we can't talk without using our hands and she can wield a knife like a samurai so I'll have to make sure I don't piss her off...lol
Well, in the time it took me to post all this bla, bla, bla, I could have baked the Grooms Cake and I'm sure you're all bored to tears by now. I'm just so excited about this wedding I can't hardly wait to leave.
Bye for now and I'll chat with you again next week:) Big hugs to all!
